Beyoğlu English Standup Comedy Night

English standup comedy show in Taksim! Istanbul-based comedy group Standup Turkey returns to Arsen Lüpen with one last April show on April 30th, Sunday! International comedians will perform at a group showcase on Sunday, 8PM.

Performers of the night:

• Ali Jo, an Iraqi comedian and DJ living in Istanbul who’s been a die-hard fan of comedy since his childhood and will defend it until his last breath. His style of dark storytelling and joke writing is drawn from his personal experiences and his often-skewed perspective on reality.
• Ayşegül Frame, an Oxford graduate comedian. She lived on 4 different continents and met people and animals from over 150 different nations, however now she is back to her only home Turkey, İstanbul.
• Leeor Brooks, a British-Israeli professional wrestler turned comedian that has been touring all across the world in both wrestling and stand-up comedy. Described as a rare and extremely honest non-PC comedian, Leeor opens up about growing up in Israel in a very mixed and complexed household, his battles with politics and faith, travelling the world and his many failed relationships.
• Luciano Romanello, an Italian stallion who has lived for 10 years in Turkey and can’t understand why people here drink şalgam. He makes jokes about Turkey and Italy making him the ultimate Levantine.
• and the MC of the night, Misfit Chameleon, an English speaking comedian from the exotic town of Sivas, who thought he had an alright childhood until looking back on it to find jokes. He never quite fits in but is under the false impression that he disguises it well.
