DJ Strawberry

DJ Strawberry is a producer/DJ from Istanbul & currently based in Berlin. His style bases in micro-grooves with considerable inspiration coming from Japanese footwork minimalism. His debut album ‘cycles’ on Wroclaw-based outlines label collided footwork with ambient in 2022 and labeled as one of the best tape releases of the year by the Quietus magazine, followed by tours in Asia, EU and the UK in 2023. In 2024 he returned with 3 diverse releases on outlines, appendix.files and Defrostatica, ranging from textural beats to footwork-jungle, as well featured in Japan’s well known footwork crew Vibes Only Crew’s 10th anniversary compilation. In March 2025 he debuted on Yuku with his latest album "Playground" pushing his own limits into 200-bpm deconstructed club variations. In 2025 so far he performed multiple times in the EU, Turkey, Georgia and recently toured in Japan for the 2nd time with +10 gigs throughout September- October 25’. During the tour he released two EPs; “Straight, forward” EP from the iconic Japanese Footwork label Kool Switch Works with remixes by DJ Fulltono, DJ Manny, Oyubi, Ace-Up and Pharakami Sanders, and another one for Vibes Only Crew’s“MEETUP!” EP series where Japanese footwork scene welcomes overseas artists.
