Runaway w/ Fur Coat @ Container Hall
Nighttime is a runaway, running away from the preoccupations and the endless obligations of the daytime.
Night is free and ever young.
Night is seductive.
And as the night falls, all our favorite sounds come to play.
On November 12, it is Fur Coat from Crosstown Rebels / BPitch Control.
Running away from everyday sounds,
Running away from the mundane,
Join the break at Container Hall.
Night is calling you.
Do your part.
Fur Coat’s expedition from their homeland Venezuela to Barcelona where the duo resides today indeed is indeed a long one, but that distance is nothing compared to where they are today and where they’ve started.
Sergio Muñoz (aka. Delete) and Israel Sunshine were both already locally known for their DJing skills when in 2004 their shared passion for electronic music brought them together to form Fur Coat.
But it wasn’t until 2010 that Fur Coat got discovered by the Brit legend Damian Lazarus who immediately saw the rebel in them before releasing their debut EP (and many more to come) from his Crosstown Rebels label.
From that moment on, it didn’t take long for those EPs and the following LP, filled with modern classics, to carry Fur Coat to the most prestigious clubs and festivals all around the world.
It was, and to this day, still is, the ravishing contrast between the dark, deep beats and the shoulder-shaking grooves that landed Fur Coat to one of world’s clubbing capitals, and opened the doors of some of the most admirable labels, like Ellen Allien’s BPitch Control, Jamie Jones and Less Foss’ Hot Creations, Sasha’s Last Night on Earth, and at last Watergate Records.
As they will open yet another door of an unforgettable experience for those who are ready to run away, join the break at Container Hall on November 12.
