THE BODY SPACE NEXUS

The body-space nexus: how our intra and interpersonal selves engage with space. Unpacking categories of spatiality, Ruth will initiate a dialogue on space and its impact on psychophysiology. Fusing the theories of Laban, Merleau-Ponty and De Certeau and discussing the autonomic nervous system, the talk will cross disciplines from theatre practise to neuroscience to lived experience.

Weaving theatre practise and interpersonal theory, Ruth unpacks how our internal landscape interacts with different environments and the inner spaces that inhabit them. Illuminating the impact of context on the body-space nexus.
